This Association is of a non political nature and exists only for the well being and benefit of the inhabitants of the precisely defined Katanga province's area located between the KUNDELUNGU plateau and the LUFIRA river (Democratic Republic of Congo). Its other main goals are, of course, to protect and develop the environment (local fauna and flora).

The Congolese-law governed MIKEMBO association is represented in Belgium by the MUKINI ("village" in Swahili) Association .

The association MUKINI (which means "village" in Swahili) is only a legal and necessary transit to represent idealy the Conglosese-law governed association MIKEMBO in Belgium.
